Today at 2:00 pm the buses headed down to the Toronto Eaton Centre for lunch. We went to the Richtree Market Restaurant’s taco bus with all of the Miss Teenage Canada delegates and chaperones.
Richtree Natural Markets Inc. operates four market-style, open kitchen restaurants across Ontario. They offers casual dining and takeout services. We had such an amazing time, you would not believe how splendid it was. This food truck is brand new and is located right in the middle of the mall. It’s a retro looking light blue VW van in which your food is ordered and prepared. Above the van is a chalkboard with the simple yet tasteful Mexican menu options. This includes fish, beef, chicken and even vegetarian tacos and burritos. All of the menu items use all-natural, fresh, local and in-season ingredients, including antibiotic and hormone-free meats.
The employees are remarkable. They are fast, friendly and enthusiastic. I tried 3 of the four tacos and undeniably loved the delectable spice and flavor of all of them. The meat was perfectly cooked, the spiciness was just right and the overall experience was astonishingly enjoyable. I can’t say say enough about the delicious flavor; you have to taste it to really experience all this restaurant has to offer. If you ever find yourself in or near the Toronto Eaton Centre be sure to stop in and grab a bite to eat at the Richtree Market Restaurant’s taco truck, and if you’re not close by check out one of their other locations across Ontario – College Park, Bayview/York Mills Centre and Square One Mississauga.
